IELTS Preparation CoursePrepare for the academic IELTS exam or for further study
The Bournemouth and Poole College (BPC) delivers this course for international students who are preparing for the Academic IELTS exam, or for UK universities or foundation courses and would like to improve their IELTS level.
Venue: Face-to-face or Online (Zoom)
Course duration: as required (minimum 3 weeks recommended)
Study time: 6-12 hours per week over 2,3 or 4 days
Timetable: 09:00-12:00 UK time, Monday – Thursday, 09:00-12:00
Start date: any Monday
Fee: £130 per week (for 12 hours). £35 one-off fee for study materials.
For these courses you must be aged 16 years or older.
When you apply for the course you will asked to give The College evidence of an IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent. If you cannot do this, you will need to complete a short BPC English language test, which will determine whether you have the correct level of English for this course.
This course is for international students who would like to improve their English language level of prepare to take the Academic IELTS exam, to study in the UK.
In a class of maximum 12 students you will develop your skills in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking with an IELTS exam focus. You will receive tips and techniques to improve your band score, IELTS practice papers and sample test materials, and our fully qualified and experienced UK-based IELTS teachers will constantly monitor your progress.
The course will assist you with vocabulary and grammar that will be useful for you in IELTS, other exams and General English as well.

On completion of this course you could progress onto either a Pre-Sessional course at a University, Further Education or Higher Education.
