Brief Summary

Achieve a Degree with an Apprenticeship!

It’s an exciting time for The College as we develop new Degree Level Apprenticeships to add to the Higher Apprenticeships we already offer. Degree Apprenticeships are national programmes that offer an alternative way to gain a Degree Level qualification.

As the largest provider of Apprenticeship training in the area, we are a great choice. We work with over 2,000 businesses across Dorset and offer over 30 different Apprenticeship programmes. At any one time, we have around 2,000 apprentices studying with us.

What you need to know

You will be combining full-time paid work with study, so you’ll have the potential to achieve graduate and postgraduate level qualifications whilst gaining job specific skills.

You will need be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week and most of your training will take place in the workplace, however you may also need to attend classes at college. Depending on your qualification and employer you might attend one day per week, sometimes called ‘day release’, in blocks of a week or more (‘block release’), or study online through e-learning.

What they lead to

A Higher Apprenticeship leads to Higher Education Qualifications at Level 4, 5, 6 or 7. These include NVQ Level 4, HNDs and Foundation Degrees.

Degree Apprenticeships offer a full Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
