The NEBOSH (National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health) is an examined basic qualification for people who are responsible for health and safety at work.

With in-depth focus on the things that matter, the NEBOSH National General Certificate covers:

  • How to measure if you've been successful

Risk assessment is central to the qualification. Through study and workplace application, successful learners will be able to:

This course is for newly appointed safety advisors without previous experience, managers and supervisors with part time responsibility for health and safety.

This fee will cover the cost of tuition, 2 course text books (NG1 & NG2), and booking fees for both exams.

Exam resits will come at an additional cost of £140 per exam. This cost covers the cost of booking students onto exams, as well as an additional administration charge.

Course Content 

Unit NG1: Management of health and safety

NG1 is an open-book examination that assesses learner knowledge. This is scenario-based and includes a closing interview where learners are asked questions about their submission. It is a digital assessment where a link is sent to the learner’s email address and must be completed remotely within 24 hours.

Unit NG2: Risk assessment

NG2 is a practical risk assessment completed at the learner’s workplace of choosing. Learners assess the health and safety risks of their chosen organisation, and develop an action plan for their workplace. The must be completed and submitted to the Learning Partner within 2 weeks.
