Our Employability Skills Coaches

Our Employability Skills Coaches offer a tailored, one-to-one coaching service to best help you develop the necessary skills for work.

This includes activities such as CV building to make sure your CV stands out from the crowd; wording for job applications to best sell yourself; interview preparation and mock job interview practice to help you plan what questions you might be asked and how you can plan your answers and an opportunity to practise presentations in front of an audience.  

We are here to help you become more professional and confident so you feel better prepared for the world of work!

Helen Kellaway
Helen KellawayHelen is one of the college’s Employability Skills Coaches.  She has considerable industry experience, having worked for retail branches and corporate departments in a large global bank for over 20 years. Her background has enabled Helen to work with people from many areas of industry which enriches her delivery of a tailored service to all students to help them develop the essential skills they need for work, through one-to-one coaching session, live workshops and online lessons.  Helen is also a qualified Business, Economics and ICT teacher, with a degree in International Business.
Chris Dreher
Chris DreherChris is a long-standing Employability Skills Coach for BPC. Chris has a plethora of diverse experience and an innovative outlook. He has worked across a wide range of industries allowing him to bring an understanding and knowledge to coaching students which allows him to tailor his training to meet the student's needs. Chris first worked in the employability sector as a recruitment Consultant but after a career in the prison service he gained his Level 4 in Career information and advice, thus deciding how best to use his skills. His patient approach and versatile background gives him a wealth of experience to work with people at any level and he can offer an insight into a variety of industries, including the catering industry, to enable students to see they have multiple choices. Chris finds job satisfaction through helping people achieve their own dreams with an inner belief that all routes have the possibility to lead you to where you want to go. 
Fiona Kitchenham
Fiona KitchenhamFiona joined the College in July 2004 as a Customer Service Advisor on The College Enquiry Line.  She has worked in many support roles throughout her 17 years of service from Reception Supervisor to Learning Coach, gaining a wealth of College Knowledge throughout her journey.
Fiona has recently started a new role as an Employability Skills Coach, helping students gain the soft skills they require to support them with the transition from Education to Employment.  Fiona is looking forward to developing their CVs, helping with job applications, personal statements, interview skills and so much more! Fiona has a passion for delivering exceptional standards of customer service and has a desire to help students succeed.
