Pippa Allner- Personal Development Manager (Careers Leader)
Pippa Allner- Personal Development Manager (Careers Leader)Pippa is the named Careers Leader across The College and manages the team of Careers Advisers and Employability Skills Coaches, making sure that all students receive high quality impartial Careers Advice and Guidance. Pippa is also responsible for ensuring that there is a whole college approach, to the delivery of Careers Education, Information Advice and Guidance. Pippa is also a qualified Careers Adviser with over 14 years’ experience within the Career Development profession.

Laura Collins – Careers Advice and Guidance Adviser
Laura Collins Careers Advisor at Bournemouth & Poole CollegeLaura started as a Careers Adviser at Bournemouth & Poole College in 2017. She qualified as a Careers Adviser in 2011 and she continued to progress her career by achieving a Masters in Careers Guidance in 2013. Since qualifying, Laura has worked with young people in the community in Kent, and in colleges in Dorset. As a child Laura wanted to be a vet but work experience put her off this! (The placement was still a useful experience as it helped her get on the right path.) Laura enjoys supporting students to reach their potential.
Jo Bowman - Careers Advice and Guidance Adviser
Jo Bowman, Careers Advisor at Bournemouth & Poole CollegeJo has been a Careers Adviser at the College since 2015. She is qualified in Careers Advice and Guidance to Level 7 with 20 years' experience working for careers companies, schools and drop in centres. As a child Jo wanted to be a hairdresser, work in a bank and then be a teacher. It is not unusual for young people to change their minds several times about their future goal! Jo loves working with people and supporting them to aim high and achieve their goals.
Laura Ryder - Careers Advice and Guidance Adviser

Laura has been a Career Adviser at Bournemouth & Poole College since 2020.  She is a qualified Career Adviser with a Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development and has over 12 years experience supporting young people and adults in a range of educational and community based settings. Laura had planned a career in the media but after trying some voluntary work placements and completing a positive mental attitude course, she reassessed what was most valuable and fulfilling to her and decided to pursue a career supporting others. Laura is passionate about helping people identify the right path for them, and empowering people to make steps towards a more positive future.
