Diploma in Air Cabin Crew

Air Cabin Crew at The Bournemouth & Poole College"I returned to education after I decided I wanted to better my career and work in the airline industry as air cabin crew. I’d been working in telesales, but knew gaining a relevant qualification would give me an edge in securing my dream job, so I enrolled onto the Diploma in Air Cabin Crew.

I was a little apprehensive to start with, especially as I was an adult returning as a Full-Time student, however I’ve found the whole experience extremely enjoyable. The course taught me a lot about the industry and I knew from the beginning that I’d made the right choice.

"Returning to education and gaining a qualification has helped me land my dream job – air cabin crew with Virgin Atlantic."

It didn’t take me long to get back into studying as I was doing something I was really interested in. The course itself was only three days a week which meant I could continue working whilst studying. The tutors were amazing and were able to offer support whenever I needed it. They even helped me with my CV when I was applying for jobs. I couldn’t have asked for better tutors.

Returning to education was a big decision, especially as I needed to pay for the course myself. The College were able to provide me with lots of advice and I was even able to secure a grant towards my fees. This brought the cost down considerably and meant that I could afford to pay the rest over monthly instalments.

I feel very fortunate to have successfully passed the course and was even offered jobs with both Virgin Atlantic and British Airways. I’m very proud of myself as I’ve succeeded in what I set out to do and I’m very excited about the future."
