Performing Arts

Chloe Brown, Performing Arts student at Bournemouth & Poole College "After I completed my BTEC in Production Arts at the College, I really wanted to find a course that could help me progress my future career in theatre and arts. I decided to go for a Degree in Performing Arts after researching the course and speaking to my tutors, and I’m so happy with my decision!

Through the BA (Hons) Performing Arts course you can choose to take a route through theatre that doesn’t just involve acting. The course has taught me key skills including directing and producing and I’ve found different ways to merge my skills into the entertainment industry. The course is mostly practical, and I’ve had an opportunity to work on shows throughout the year with tutors and even directors from outside the College! I’ve found my Degree has really given me a good insight into how the industry works.

"The tutors themselves have always been very supportive, creating new opportunities for me and pushing me to do the best I can."

Every tutor is approachable and compassionate, they have the same love for theatre as all their students do and it becomes apparent in the detail of their classes.

This course has helped me become a confident, skilled professional in the Performing Arts industry, and has opened many different pathways for the future. I can now choose to become an actress, stage manager, director or producer. It will help me chase down the dream of working in London or working on a UK tour of a show."
