Enjoy a gourmet dining experience in the world renowned Escoffier Restaurant at the Lansdowne Bournemouth.

Escoffier logoThe Escoffier Training Restaurant provides you with a dining experience in a relaxing and unique style, with menus designed to give you access to an eclectic array of dishes using many ingredients from local producers. Run by catering and hospitality students, and an experienced lecturing team, The Escoffier offers top quality food and service and opens both at lunch time, with a three course lunch menu, and three evenings a week serving more formal gourmet and theme menus. We are open term time only and term dates for 2019 / 2020 are as follows:

Autumn Term 2019 - Tuesday 24th September to Thursday 19th December (closed for half term, week beginning 28th October).

Spring Term 2020 - Tuesday 14th January to Thursday 2nd April (closed for half term, week beginning 17th February).

Summer Term 2020 - Tuesday 20th April to Thursday 18th June (closed for half term, week beginning 25th May).

Lunch is served Tuesday to Thursday at 12 noon and themed evenings every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7pm.

Please note that due to student and staff timetable requirements, at lunchtime we kindly ask if customers depart by 2.15pm. For dinner we ask if customers could please depart by 9.30pm to allow us to ensure students' are finished by 10.00pm.

Please note that the last week of each dinner menu will be a 7 course Tasting Menu charged at £25 per person.

Christmas Bookings 2019

Four course Christmas lunches including coffee and petit fours will be available throughout December at the price of £17.50 per person.

Six course Christmas dinners including coffee and petit fours will be available throughout December at the price of £24.95 per person.

To reward customers that dine with us before 25th October 2019, The Escoffier are offering priority booking for Christmas lunch and dinner. Alternatively, we will be delighted to take your reservation as from 4th November 2019.

Private Bookings

If you are looking for a venue for your private function or party, we can cater for a range of events, and will provide excellent food, service and value for money. The Hospitality and Catering banqueting team offer a detailed planning service giving each event the care and attention required. We are located at Bournemouth & Poole College's Lansdowne site in central Bournemouth. Take the Meyrick Road exit from the Lansdowne roundabout where the College's main entrance is situated.

Please note: There is no on site parking at lunchtimes. However, there is off site parking on Meyrick Road, Gervic Road and nearby carparks. You are welcome to use College car parks for evening service.
