The Bournemouth & Poole College Learning Resource Centre North Road

The LRCs are comfortable and friendly spaces which provide access to resources and support  for students and staff.

As well as a large collection of books, periodicals and audiovisual resources, the LRC provides access to a virtual library of high-quality ebooks and article databases. You can access these online resources from your laptop, PC, tablet or mobile phone, or from any of the 75 Windows PCs and 80 laptops, or 8 Macs, available for use within the LRCs. You can also access the internet, use Microsoft Office or other specialist software, print assignments, or simply use the photocopier.

Staff and students can search our resources, both print and online, via our discovery tool Infomine (College students and staff can click on Shibboleth Login to to use).

State of the art facilities

LRCs created with you in mind!

The Bournemouth & Poole College Learning Resource Centre North RoadOur new LRCs at North Road and Lansdowne were created with students at the heart of the design. We’ve adapted the space to make sure they cater for all your learning needs.

There are different learning zones to suit whatever type of work you’re doing. You can either work on your own or collaborate with others on projects. We have also created curriculum clusters, where small groups can go to study while having all the information at their fingertips.

Our IT suites, project rooms and pods are kitted out with the latest IT equipment and presentation technology. We’ve even set up integrated re-charge points for you to keep your batteries topped up!
