Who We Are at the Students Union

The Students Union is run by students, for students. There are 23 positions in the Union held by elected students, they are called the Executive Committee. They are supported by a team of staff who train and assist the them with running it.

As well as the Students Union in Lansdowne, you can also go to The Link in North Road.

Staff

Student Liaison Officer (SLO) - Duncan Newman

It's The SLO's job to support the Exec. and make sure they are trained and confident in their roles. Got any problems, queries or just want a chat or info about the SU.

Students Union Administrator - Tracey Kerntiff

Tracey has the unenviable job of keeping an eye on the SU accounts and liasing closely with the Union Finance Officer to ensure that all the Students' Union accounts are sorted.

Head of Student Support - Robin Coe

Being a manager Rob has to wear a suit (sometimes)! He runs the Student Rep. System, Student Council and makes sure the other staff do some work.

Student Support Assistant (SSA)

The SSA helps out in the North Road office and is responsible for helping market the Students' Union.

Executive Committee

There are 23 elected positions on the Exec. Committee. These post-holders meet fortnightly at Exec. Meetings during term time. It is at these meetings (which are open for anyone to attend) that decisions are made regarding all aspects of the Union.
