What Support Can I Get?
The College offers a range of support for learners with:
- Difficulties with literacy, language and numeracy
- Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or other specific learning difficulties
- Sensory impairment (Auditory and Visual)
- Physical and Medical difficulties
- Mental Health difficulties
- Emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
An Individual Learning Support Plan will be agreed with you and may include:
- A pre-entry guidance interview or assessment of support need
- Building confidence in literacy, numeracy or IT
- Personal care needs
- Learning Support Assistant, note-taker or signer
- Use of a range of IT equipment and training on how to use it.
- Special Exam Arrangements
- Additional tutorials to support your coursework
- Specialist tutor assessment for dyslexia
- Support for dyslexic students which includes developing their individual learning style.
- Referral for assessment with external agencies if appropriate.
