Steps To Get The Right Support

1 - Application

When completing the form, tick the box to indicate your support needs. You can also tick to show you wish to discuss your needs with a specialist member of our team.

2 - Pre-Entry Guidance

You can request this on the application form or you could phone us to request that you wish a member of the ALN team to be present at your interview. You could arrange a separate meeting to focus on your support needs or meet us at the Open Evenings. Phone 205359 (Lans) or 20 5956 (North Rd) Minicom 205249

3 - An Assessment

This may be arranged to identify your support needs so that the best support can be in place from the start of your course. It may be for example, that you need special examination arrangements to be set up or if you are a student who speaks English as a Second Other Language (ESOL), you may need an assessment of your language level.

4 - Once Enrolled

All individual tutorials within the Study Advice Centres (SAC), take place outside of your timetable, so that you do not miss any of your course sessions. If you need a regular support tutorial, it is best to bring your timetable into the SAC as soon as possible.
