Personal Tutor Support for Students

All Full & Part Time Students are entitled to a programme of tutorial support
It is the policy of the College that all full and part time students are entitled to a programme of tutorial support.

Your personal tutor will be responsible for your introduction to the College and how it works. He or she will also help you with your progress and give you an opportunity to discuss your personal and social development and career decisions.

Full time students have two hours a week timetabled for tutorials and part time students have slightly less. There will be an opportunity for every student to have a one-to-one tutorial at least once a term. During your one-to-one tutorial your progress is monitored and an action plan completed, to help you to achieve your aims and goals.

All Full and Part Time students are entitled to a programme of Tutorial Support.

Other tutorials are conducted on a group basis where lots of different topics are covered. For example, there will be an opportunity to invite visiting speakers in to talk about a subject of interest to you, look at careers related to your course or discuss how well the course is going.

The group tutorial links in to Enrichment activities and cross-college Blockbuster Events throughout the year.
