Bournemouth & Poole College’s CGI department is going from strength to strength, having recently been named as an Unreal Academic Partner of Epic Games.

This status recognises The College’s use of Epic Games’ Unreal Engine to train the next generation of developers of interactive, real-time experiences. Bournemouth & Poole College is proud to deliver courses using real industry tools to provide students with the technical skills and experience they need to succeed in their careers.

Bournemouth & Poole College and Caterpillar are celebrating more than ten years of apprenticeship placements and are recognizing a key member of the Caterpillar team for her contributions to the successful endeavor.

Sandra Orchard, facilities engineering supervisor at Caterpillar Marine Power UK Ltd, who initiated the program in 2012, announced her retirement earlier this year.

Bournemouth & Poole College are proud to announce their Level 3 CIM awarded marketing courses have been commended by the Chartered Institute of Marketing for a 100% achievement rate.

Bradley Lansdale, Course Leader and CIM Examiner at The College, said, “This recognition from the Chartered Institute of Marketing means that students know the knowledge they are gaining is relevant to the industry, up-to-date and accurate – all aspects of course content that we pride ourselves in at Bournemouth & Poole College. We look forward to working with the CIM long into the future.”

Rhyan Witherington and Mark Harry-Lane, both second year students on the Level 2 Plastering course at Bournemouth & Poole College, were pleased to be announced as Students of the Year of the plastering department. 

This prestigious achievement recognises the hard work they have put into their studies throughout the year, learning the art of plastering with industry materials kindly sponsored by British Gypsum. 

We wish both Rhyan and Mark all the best for their future careers.

Bournemouth & Poole College are pleased to announce that 4 teams from Level 2 and 3 Carpentry courses made it to the final of the Chartered Institute of Builders’ competition. The 4 teams, made up of 14 students at The College, were asked to design a house for a family with a disabled child. 

The finalists were all invited to present their projects to a panel of 4 judges.
