Entry Requirements
"What qualifications do I need to get a place on a higher education course at college or university?"
The Traditional Route to Higher Education Study
If you already hold GCSEs and A Levels, you'll find these are the most commonly used University entrance qualifications in the UK, along with AVCEs and Advanced Level GNVQs. There are a wide range of other qualifications such as National diplomas, Foundation diplomas and Access Courses which are also accepted. NVQs and Advanced Modern Apprenticeships also help to provide suitability for a course. Please check with the college before applying to check whether your qualifications can be accepted.
Key Skills
Communication Level 2 and Application of Number Level 2 are accepted towards your application.
What if I Don't Have the Formal Entry Qualifications?
Maybe you're thinking of returning to study after a career break, or want to improve your qualifications and learn new skills. The college is working hard to widen access to learning. If you don't hold traditional qualifications, don't worry. Your work and life experience and your desire to return to learning will all be taken into account in relation to the course you are interested in. The College offers the opportunity to visit, have an informal discussion and will answer your questions on returning to study.
