Introduction:

This Foundation Degree can be studied via two different pathways.

  • Architectural Visualisation
  • Modelling & Animation

The field of 3D computer-generated-imagery modelling and animation represents the marriage between art and technical design. Practitioners in this innovative and exciting field need a good understanding of both the creative and the technical processes involved.

CGI is one of the most rapidly expanding areas of creative endeavour and technical development. Computer-generated sequences in advertising, television, digital special effects, engineering design, corporate project presentations and virtual environments are some of the more visible applications.

Recent years have seen a truly amazing growth in this field, with 5 of the top movie visual effects companies based in London and a plethora of games companies, TV production companies and architectural visualisation companies now based all over the country. In past years, our students have found jobs with The Mill, Moving Picture Company, Framestore, Codemasters, Lionhead Studios, Visual House and Emperor Vision, working on titles such as Tale of Desperaux, Harry Potter, adverts for Comfort, Lynx, Audi and games 50 Cent, Need for Speed, DJ Hero.

Our facitlities include a high spec render farm, motion caputre suit and 3D scanner as well as up-to-date industry standard software and quality tuition.

Entry Requirements:
