  • Before attempting a CV or completing an application form, start by doing a self-review and create a profile of your skills and achievements

  • Identify the skills essential or desirable for the occupation of your choice and match these to yourself

  • Promote the skills and competencies you have developed on your course, in addition to academic course content - e.g. written and verbal communication, team work, leadership, problem solving, giving presentations, IT, time management
