Entertainment

You can create your own entertainment at the beach, which, with its multitude of cafes and arcades, provides the perfect low-cost day out. There is also the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) which plays host to well-known entertainers.

Poole offers Tower Park, a large leisure park where Bowlplex, Splashdown Water Centre and a large cinema complex are all located. For something more sophisticated, the Lighthouse Arts Centre in Poole offers theatre, world cinema, music, art and literature, as well as touring plays and comedians.

Nightlife

Bournemouth is famous for its buzzing nightlife and there are many bars and clubs to choose from. The Lansdowne, where Bournemouth & Poole College is situated, is home to the most popular student club in Bournemouth, The Old Firestation. This venue is run by the Students' Union and has a massive programme of gigs.

Shopping

Also worth a visit is the new Castlepoint Shopping Park, which featured in Retail Week's Top 100 Shopping Centre Destinations. It has all the top fashion stores such as GAP, H &M, NEXT and Topshop.
