Additional Assessments

Learners can have additional assessments to establish specialist:

  • Speech and language support
  • Equipment
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages support
  • Mobility
  • Sensory support
  • Risk assessment
  • Travel training needs

Learning Difficulty Provision

We cater for learners who may have:

  • Acquired brain injury;
  • Austistic spectrum disorder;
  • Communication difficulty;
  • Emotional/behavioural difficulty;
  • Epilepsy;
  • A hearing impairment;
  • A speech impairment;
  • A medical condition;
  • mobility difficulty(non wheelchair);
  • mobility difficulty (wheelchair);
  • a severe learning difficulty
  • A visual impairment.

Please note:-There is no access to an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or regular access to nursing care.

Learners can be supervised to ensure they take medication.  There is a supervised time out/quiet room during lunchtimes and when needed.  All staff are trained to understand the implications of health issues, including mental health.
