A Bournemouth based waste management service is bucking the economic trend by winning a significant number of new commercial waste management contracts from all corners of the UK.
Business Director Peter White believes that the company’s success can be credited to building strong customer relationships with a diverse client base and a commitment from all his staff to offering first class customer care.
 
1st Waste Management have recently partnered with The Bournemouth and Poole College to put the team through Customer Service training, along with Business Administration qualifications and management development.
Peter also puts his business success down to investing in staff development and getting the best out of the team pulling together.
 
“I firmly believe that training is an integral part of any business” said Peter. “The College has worked with us all the way and the courses have enabled us to put into practice continual measurements and improvements with customer service. Staff now feel more involved in our success and even more committed to the job, and it has been a pleasure to see the team develop. I see this as an ongoing relationship, for example we now have a manager progressing to higher level management training.”
1st Waste Management is a growing business, and in order to maintain a leading edge Peter will continue to recruit staff who recognise the importance of ongoing personal development and putting the customer first.
