If you are a student at Bournemouth and Poole College you are automatically entitled to use any LRC. We have three Learning Resources Centres - Lansdowne LRC, North Road LRC and Constitution Hill LRC. Each LRC holds the resources for subject areas taught on their respective site.
All LRCs are open five days per week.
The LRCs are here to help you successfully complete your course of study. LRC staff are experienced at dealing with enquiries and can help you find the resources you need.
Resources available to borrow include books, e-books, magazines and journals, DVDs, video and audio materials - use the online catalogue (WebOPAC) to help you find what you need!
Loan periods available are overnight, one week and two weeks. Items on loan can be renewed up to a maximum of twice per item by logging into the WebOPAC, emailing LRCstaff@bpc.ac.uk, phoning any of the LRCs or by visiting in person.
Overdue items attract fines. You can borrow up to ten items, and can access computer facilities using your Student ID Card.
It is also possible to reserve items from any College LRC, just ask a member of LRC staff if you would like to use this service or reserve online via the WebOPAC.
Each centre also offers a range of other services and resources including online databases, daily newspapers, careers information, photocopying facilities, the Internet, Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
We welcome your ideas and suggestions to help us improve the services and resources we offer.
