Online Childcare Courses

Early Years Online Training Courses

Childcare Courses at Bournemouth & Poole CollegeThe Health, Care and Education Academy now runs three online CACHE courses in Childcare. At present they are run with students in the Middle East with the co-operation of the British Council in Kuwait .

The Council for Awards in Children's Care and Education (CACHE) is the largest qualifying authority for childcare qualifications in the United Kingdom . It deals solely with childcare qualifications and runs Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 courses throughout Britain and the world. The courses run online by the college are all CACHE courses. You can download a course information sheet in PDF format for each below;

Students on all online courses need access to a computer with word processing and internet facilities. They also need good English writing skills.

CACHE Certificate for Teaching Assistants Level 3 (CTA)

This is a course for people working as a classroom assistant already and who want to develop the knowledge and understanding of their practice. There are two modules which cover the role of the classroom assistant and working with children with special educational needs.

CACHE Certificate in Children's Care, Learning and Development Level 3 (CCLD)

This course is for people working with children from anywhere between 0 and 16 years old. It has five modules which include child development, providing a positive environment for children, how children learn and early year's legislation. The qualification enables you to supervise children within this age range.

CACHE Advanced Diploma in Childcare and Education Level 4 (ADCE)

The level 4 course is made up of six modules, one of which is an academic research project. It gives you 120 CATS points for university in Britain . You need to be working with children from 0 – 8 years old and be able to reflect on your own practice. There are a range of modules to choose from.
