This programme brings together interfacing technologies that will combine both computing and electronics. The course will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to design both hardware and software applications in electronics.
It focuses on the design of microelectronic and computer-based intelligent systems and combines computing, software engineering and electronic circuits and systems to computers and other microproccesor based equipment.
The course has extensive hands-on activities and project work. Industry specific skills are developed including project development, use of use of UML and software programming.

• 4 GCSE passes at grade C mininum to include, Maths and English, or equivalent qualification
• At least one full A level at grade C or above, or equivalent
• Subject related Level 3 Advanced Diploma may be considered
• Mature students will be considered and should have good literacy and numeracy skills appropriate to the programme, a good understanding of computing and an aptitude for technical work
(Indicative Tariff points 80 from a relevant subject, full A level)
FdSc
- 120 Level C credits from an HNC in an appropriate discipline
Preferred subjects: Electronics, Physics, Computing and Maths.

If English is not your first language, a minimum IELTS (Academic) of 6.0, or TOEFL 550 (paper based), or TOEFL 80 (internet based) is normally required.

There is a possibility to study further units for a Foundation Degree progression. Direct entry onto the second year, third year, or final year of an appropriate Honours degree would be considered on an individual basis.
