Do you like the idea of combining business and computing, but wish to pursue a more technology-based computing course? As a graduate you will have the knowledge of business processes combined with in-depth computing to be creators of business software and systems. You will be prepared for your future career through personal development and an emphasis on group working. Given the richness of careers in the IT industry, you may not be clear about which area you want to specialise in. The designed framework will give you exposure to a variety of modern technologies and techniques. Units cover areas we know to be foundational for all professionals in the business computing industry; with year two providing a measure of specialism.

• 4 GCSEs at grade C minimum, to include Maths and English, or an equivalent qualification
• Plus two A Levels, including one at grade C or above, or
• BTEC National Diploma, NVQ 3, or
• An Access to Higher Education Diploma
Indicative tariff points 120 from two full A-levels or equivalent and to include one full A level at 80 tariff points (i.e. grade C) in a relevant subject. Preferred subjects: Computing, Information Technology and other related subjects
Venue:The course is currently delivered at The College's Lansdowne campus in Bournemouth.
If English is not your first language, a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 6.0, or TOEFL 550 (paper based), or TOEFL 80 (internet based) is normally required. A telephone interview may also be necessary.
The practical skills developed on this course leave students well placed to seek employment in a wide variety of computing positions upon graduation. A suggested progression route may be possible to the BSc Computing Framework programmes at Bournemouth University.
