Developed specifically for those students seeking management careers in the hospitality sector, you will develop managerial expertise and industry knowledge as well as valuable personal attributes and competences. This degree covers finance, marketing, human resources, and other key functions. You will also gain valuable understanding of external factors that influence hospitality businesses and organisations. Real industry experience is an essential part of this programme, and we work closely with employers to ensure we are meeting and even exceeding their stringent demands. Employers value our training services and contribute towards skills development. The Bournemouth and Poole College was part of the national pilot scheme for the introduction of Foundation Degrees in Tourism.

- 4 GCSEs at grade C minimum, to include English and Mathematics or appropriate Key Skills Level 2
- Two A-Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification e.g. BTEC National Diploma, or
- Access to Higher Education Diploma, or
- Subject related Level 3 Advanced Diploma may be considered
Indicative Tariff points 120 from two full A-Levels, or equivalent, and to include one full A level at 80 tariff points (i.e. grade C) in a relevant subject.
Preferred Subjects: All subjects considered, but Travel and Tourism or Hospitality subjects an advantage.
IELTS - If English is not your first language, a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 6.0, or TOEFL 550 (paper based), or TOEFL 80 is normally required. A telephone interview may also be necessary.

On gaining a merit profile on this Foundation Degree, students may progress on to the BA (Hons) International Tourism Management(Top-up), or the BA (Hons) International Hospitality & Tourism Management (Top-up) or the BA (Hons) International Hospitality Management (Top-up) at Bournemouth University.
