The course runs at the Jellicoe Theatre Poole and is designed to further students' performance skills and deepen their knowledge of the contemporary theatre scene. Tutors include a wide range of specialists from the College's large full-time Performing Arts team, supplemented by an intensive work experience project with Forest Forge Theatre Company and a programme of workshops by visiting professionals.
A mixture of practical and theoretical sessions. Students will be continually assessed through a series of practical performances, written assisgnements and oral presentations.

- 4 GCSE passes at grade C minimum to include English and Mathematics or equivalent
- Plus 2 A Levels or equivalent qualfication, or an equivalent level 3 qualification e.g.
- BTEC National Diploma or NVQ3 or
- An Access to Higher Education Diploma
- A Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Creative and Media may be considered in combination with other qualifications
Indicative tariff points 120 from 2 A levels or equivalent, and to include 1 full A level 80 tariff points (i.e. grade C) in a relevant subject.
Preferred subjects: Dance, Performing Arts, Drama
IELTS - If English is not your first language, a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 6.0, or TOEFL 550 (paper based), or TOEFL 80 (internet based) is normally required. A telephone interview may also be necessary.
Venue: The course is delivered at The College's Lower Constitution Hill campus in Poole.

Students can progress to a one-year Honours degree Top-Up (level H), or employment in a range of performance-related activities. The FdA Performing Arts is focused on preparing students for work in the industry. The department has strong links with the profession and working practitioners. The expectation of students on the course mirrors the Performing Arts with an emphasis on discipline, focus and ambition.
