The development of media production requires multi-skilled practitioners for the constantly and rapidly evolving media industries. The diversity of digital media is reflected in this innovative course which combines vocational relevance with academic rigour, helping the student greatly develop their potential employability within this specialist field. We have considerable expertise in both interactive media and audio/video production, ensuring graduates are equipped with the skills to not only author strong interactive projects, but also to film, edit and apply post-production techniques to video using traditional creative practices and cutting edge technology. Students will receive thorough training in the use of software including Adobe Flash, Photoshop and AfterEffects, as well as video production and editing workshops.

- 4 GCSEs at grade C minimum, to include Maths and English, or 'Application of Number' and 'Communication' Key Skills Level 2,
- Plus 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification e.g. BTEC National Diploma in Media or AVCE in Media or
- Diploma in Creative and Media may be considered in combination with other qualifications or
- An Access to Higher Education Diploma Level 3 Advanced
Indicative Tariff points 120 from two full A-Levels, or equivalent and to include one full A-Level at 80 tariff points (i.e. grade C) in a relevant subject. Preferred Subjects: Film Studies, Media Studies, Computer Studies
Venue: The course is delivered at The College's Lower Constitution Hill campus in Poole.
If English is not your first language, a minimum IELTS (Academic) of 6.5, TOEFL 570 (paper based), or TOEFL 90 (internet based) is normally required. A telephone interview may also be necessary.
Students who successfully complete this course with the appropriate level of qualification may apply to the BA (Hons) Global Media Practice at Bournemouth University, or elsewhere. A high percentage of students (73%) went onto top up honours degrees last year and 26% students took up employment.
