The Business and Management course is an ideal choice for those seeking a degree that offers a wide range of business subjects, such as Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance and Management.   Designed to build students’ confidence, competency, and skills levels,  Level C provides an underpinning knowledge of business subjects and an emphasis on relating studies to the world of work. This is reinforced through work-based learning and supported by a period of appropriate work placement. The first year also includes a number of activities, such as Induction week and team building workshops, support for personal development and study skills.

Year Two, level I,  introduces students to self directed research work. Students will produce workable business plans for small businesses.

Entry Requirements: 
  • 4 GCSEs at grade C minimum to include Maths and English or appropriate Key Skills level 2
  • A-levels or equivalent qualification, or
  • Subject related Level 3 Advanced Diploma is considered with other qualfications, or
  • An Access to Higher Education Diploma

International Entry Requirements: 

If English is not your first language, a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 6.0, or TOEFL 550 (paper based), or TOEFL 80 (internet based) is normally required.   A telephone interview may also be necessary.

Progression: 

The course is ideal for those interested in developing employability skills. It equips students with the necessary skills and expertise to progress to an Honours degree, after which, graduates can choose to specialise in a chosen field, following further professional study.
