Introduction: 

To undertake any NVQ on a part time basis you MUST be working in the relevant vocational sector, for example to undertake this qualification you must have knowledge of and be working within a customer service related environment. You must also be able to access evidence from your current employer and they need to be happy that assessments and observations will be carried out at your place of work, so it is preferable to have your employer's support.

To achieve this NVQ you will need to show competence in the following areas:

  • Demonstrate Understanding of the Rules that impact on Customer Service
  • Build a customer service knowledge set
  • Organise the delivering of reliable customer service
  • Improve the customer relationship
  • Process customer service complaints
  • Lead a team to improve customer service
Entry Requirements: 

Prior to joining this course you will be invited to attend an individual interview with a member of the NVQ Services team to discuss your suitability for the course based on your background and current situation. No formal qualifications may be necessary as the main criteria or suitability is based on current and previous work experiences, however achievement of the Customer Service NVQ Level 2 would be advantageous.

International Entry Requirements: 

You will be invited to attend an individual interview with a member of the NVQ Services team to discuss the suitability of the course and the individual applicant's background and current situation. No formal qualifications may be necessary as the main criteria or suitability is based on current and previous work experiences. You may also have achieved the Customer Service NVQ Level 2.

Progression: 

Some NVQs at Level 3 will allow progression into Higher Education (subject to the entry criteria of the university applied to). Alternatively you could find employment in a wide variety of more senior customer related positions. The College also offers many other related courses, for example in Administration, Business or Information Technology.

Costs: 

Price on application. There may be tuition fee concession for eligible applicants.

International Costs: 

£5900 per year to include books, examination fees and registration fees. There may be additional costs for educational visits, uniforms, materials etc. and this cost will be advised on application.
