Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, timetable to be confirmed at interview or induction.
Communication is about how you interact with people, how you exchange ideas, how you influence others and are influenced yourself. Culture is a jigsaw puzzle of different influences that come from your family upbringing, your education, where you live, your race, your wealth, your interests and lifestyle and how you present yourself.
Your own ideas will be encouraged and developed. The first part of the course will explore the basics:
- What is communication?
- What is culture?
All AS and A2 subjects are studied as a part of a full time programme comprising of 4 AS subjects and is aimed at 16 - 18 year olds.
To study four subjects to GCE AS Level you will normally require 6 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English Language and Maths.
You will be assessed through formal examinations and coursework. The course will equip you with analytical and evaluative skills.
Progression to Higher Educaiton or employment.
£5900 per year to include books, examination fees and registration fees. There may be additional costs for educational visits, uniforms, materials etc. and this cost will be advised on application.
You will not be in College every day from 9am to 5pm, students on an AS/A level course will have free time and you do not need to be on the premises unless you have a timetabled session or tutorial.
The lessons are 1 hour 30 minutes which is the standard slot with longer variations for more practical subjects such as Photography.
You will have a personal tutor who will be responsible for reviewing your general progress and helping you with your problems, no matter how small. You will see him/her in tutorial period, almost every day of the week.
This subject would normally be studied with two or three other AS/A levels as a full time course.
