Book Keeping IAB Level 1 Manual and Computerised Sept
Thursday 5.30-9pm
This practical course combines manual and computerised bookkeeping. It is aimed at individuals who wish to begin their studies of manual and computerised bookkeeping, or who have some practical knowledge and skills at this level and wish to gain an accredited qualification in the subject. The manual bookkeeping element also acts as some of the underpinning knowledge required for the processing of financial transactions using a computerised accounting system.
Owners of small businesses may also find this qualification useful as it gives coverage of the basic use of commercially available computerised software and the keeping of a single entry manual bookkeeping system suitable for the production of small business accounts.
In order to achieve the IAB level 1 Awards in both Manual and Computerised Bookkeeping, you must achieve the following mandatory units:
Level 1 Award in Manual Bookkeeping:
- Processing receipts and payments
- Preparing and processing bookkeeping documents
- Recording Credit transactions
- Making and receiving payments
- Maintaining petty cash records
Level 1 Award in Computerised Bookkeeping:
- Recording routine bookkeeping transactions using a computerised system
- Prepare and record sales and purchase documents using a computerised system
There are no formal entry requirements but students will need to have good conversational and written English, mathematical and and computer skills.
This course is assessed through a 'practical' external examination. In addition the additional units are assessed during the course.
On successful completion you will have the opportunity to progress onto a Level 2 Book keeping course or AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.
Total Fee £450
