Our Tourism provision covers a very wide range of both part-time and full-time courses, which offer routes into employment or further study.
One of the main strengths of the tourism teaching team is the wealth of industry experience and knowledge that each member of the team possesses. The enthusiasm and motivation created by the team will enable you to see that working in the tourism industry can be great fun and very rewarding.
For school leavers looking to enter the popular Travel and Tourism field, full-time BTEC courses offer a practical introduction to the subject. You can start on a Level 1 Introductory Certificate and progress onto Level 3 National Award, Certificate or Diploma qualifications, which are suitable for entry to Higher Education, or employment in the industry.
For those already working in the Travel and Tourism area, or looking for a career change, a range of short courses are on offer to increase professional expertise and knowledge. Air Cabin Crew, Tourist Guiding and Resort Representative courses, amongst many others, can be studied in isolation, or as preparation for further full-time study in the Tourism school.
For those looking to progress onto Higher Education, Foundation Degrees are offered in partnership with Bournemouth University in Tourism Management, Tourism and Leisure Management and Tourism and Hospitality Management. All courses offer the option to top-up to an honours degree qualification with a further year’s study.
