The Bournemouth and Poole College is one of the largest further education colleges in the UK located on the South coast of England, approximately two hours journey time from London. Our college is renowned for offering high standards of education and training for UK and international students, and has a wide range of courses at many levels, including progression into higher education.
To meet the rising demand for Health & Social Care courses for international students, we are introducing a newspecialist package of qualifications. We are the only College currently accredited by the Royal College of Nursing to offer this training programme. As well as studying at The College, you will gain excellent practical experience on a work placement within a professional care setting. This could be anything between 20 and 40 hours of work where you will receive a salary (guaranteed to be at least the UK minimum wage). We will ensure you are given a thorough induction into UK care standards, and you will be supported by an assessor.
Other benefits of this excellent new programme include:
The three-year Pre conversion nursing programme will enable you to achieve NVQ up to level 3, ILM certificate in supervisory management, Numeracy key skills and the BTEC administration of medication course. The NVQ is an internationally recognized qualification which validates your vocational competence. The NVQs are gained through a combination of classroom work, project work and very importantly, assessment of your practical work-based skills
This course is suited to those who have completed nursing training overseas and want to gain additional and nationally recognized qualifications.
To join this course you will need a minimum of English Language IELTS 5.5 and already hold a nursing qualification.
Introductory Course Fee £3,500 per year We are able to offer this course on an introductory offer of just £3,500 per year. Your annual course fees will include tuition, arrangement of appropriate work placements, work based assessment and awarding body registrations. Accommodation costs, travel costs and airport transfer fees (where applicable) are not included. We can help organise this for you on request.
