Access & Community Education

Welcome to the Academy for Access & Community Education at the Bournemouth & Poole College.

We combine traditional & practical teaching methods to deliver both theoretical and hands-on knowledge to over 12,000 students either at the main College sites or throughout our community venues.

Skills For Life

Welcome to the Academy for Skills for Life at the Bournemouth & Poole College.

The Academy provides students with the opportunity to improve their skills in English, language, maths and numeracy and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

We recognise for many people learning opportunities and refresher courses in English, language, and/or maths/numeracy are an essential part of their success and enable them to respond easily to the increasing demands of everyday life, study and work.

Students who study with us come for a wide range of reasons including:

• improving their skills to help them with existing programmes of study
• improving their confidence at work and home
• getting back to the ‘basics' missed at school
• changing or starting new careers and or study programmes
• getting a qualification in English and maths
• increasing their job prospects

We pride ourselves on offering an excellent range of learning courses aimed at the individual and work with you from your first contact with us to develop a course of study that meets your individual needs.
